Therapy Dogs of Las Vegas
K-9 Therapy dogs of Las Vegas is a nonprofit club designed to be a pet assisted therapy program. The primary purpose is to use qualified teams of handlers and dogs in host facilities and hospitals to bring emotional support, relief, and physical rehabilitation to patients and to bring joy, comfort to visiting family members, friends and facility staff. Secondly, to provide encouragement, support and community involvement through volunteerism for our handler and dog teams.
Host facilities are defined as facilities that have invited the K-9 Therapists of Las Vegas to participate in volunteer/visitation programs on their premises
Membership to the K-9 Therapists of Las Vegas is open to anyone who meets the eligibility requirements. No one will be discriminated against on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, national origin, or disability. This purpose is exclusively educational, charitable and/or conducted under the guidance of the host facility. No monetary payments will be charged by any member. Donations may be accepted on behalf of the K-9 Therapists of Las Vegas and will be placed in the general treasury.
Use of the K-9 Therapists of Las Vegas title, logo or artwork may not be used on but not limited to signs, brochures, clothing, newsletters or business cards without written authorization from the Board.
